Now Organic! Our best seller, dried Organic Porcini takes on an intense, smoky flavor that fills the room with its rich fragrance. Only found in the wild, it thrives in coniferous and deciduous woodlands and can grow very large, weighing over two pounds. Deepen the flavor of soups, gravies and in sauces for polenta and pasta. The Porcinin is particularly sought after during the holidays due to its delicious compatibility with poultry and stuffings. Rehydrate in hot water for 30 minutes, drain and squeeze out excess water.
We also have a great Creamy Porcini Potage soup recipe

Had never tried porcinis until about a year or so ago when I found them on the FungusAmongUs website. Turns out they are in a class together with maitake and matsutake: arch-divinities of the fungusphere. Even meatier than shiitake. I recommend using them in chiles, curries, soups, etc.
