Areas that have been disturbed by forest fires and floods are the favorite growing grounds of the delicious, honeycombed Morel. Unlike the false Morel, the true Morel's cap is connected to the stem. Dried Morels take on a smoky flavor and imparts richness to any dish. One of our favorite ways to use them is in a sour cream stroganoff sauce and pouring over noodles or rice. Rehydrate by soaking in hot water for 30 minutes, drain and squeeze out excess water.
