On the FungusAmongUs Farm, we mix and match mushrooms
all the time. One of the many wonderful things about
mushrooms is that they are interchangeable. Whatever I have
on hand is what goes into the recipe I am using. Below is a
simple basic recipe that works for any mushroom and can be
added to any dish.
2 T butter or vegetable oil
Dried mushrooms, rehydrated
Chopped garlic to taste
After rehydrating the mushrooms following the directions
on the back of this card, cut mushrooms into slices. Heat
the butter or vegetable oil in a medium skillet. Cook the
mushrooms and garlic 2-3 minutes. Add mushrooms to your
recipe. Also delicious in rice, pasta, gravy, stir frys, sauces,
stews and soups. Put on steaks, potatoes, in dips; pureé for
paté, bread and cracker spreads.
