Price is fantastic and our bag looks good with large pieces and the mushrooms are not broken up as someone had mentioned. However, we have to triple up the amount used in order to get the porcini flavor. Even then, it seems quite mild (lack of flavor) unlike what we normally have had. Perhaps it is a one off bag - our bag is from Serbia.

Very Good Quality and smell foresty-wonderful!

I prefer - Organic means much safer, Fantastic for soups and sauces, much superior to any meat. ( Heaven for a vegan)

Very gritty and lots of tiny broken pieces

When I emailed the company regarding the grittiness and asked for suggestions, I got no response. I finally figured out, these need to be rinsed under fast running water and rubbed to make sure all the sand is removed. Soaking, even several times, is not enough.

I was impressed with how fast my order arrived as well as to the quality of the dried mushrooms. A lot of nice whole slices along with good size pieces. Almost no crumbs or dust in the package. These are certainly a good value when compared to other sources. Will definitely return for other items in the future

I find that ordering in bulk from Fungus Amongus encourages me to enjoy a variety of mushrooms on a far more frequent basis. It is so convenient and so tasty to have dried Porcini readily to hand - I find myself adding mushrooms to all kinds of new dishes. Fungus Amongus has always been fairly priced and ships promptly.

Had never tried porcinis until about a year or so ago when I found them on the FungusAmongUs website. Turns out they are in a class together with maitake and matsutake: arch-divinities of the fungusphere. Even meatier than shiitake. I recommend using them in chiles, curries, soups, etc.

    great!
